Introduce yourself:
Since orthodontic work 5 years ago(when I was 17) I noticed my face had become asymmetrical and much different. I had an overbite so the orthodontist removed a premolar from the left side of my face and pushed everything back to straighten teeth with braces. Now everything has shifted to the left side(my nose is shifted left, my smile is more to the left, and my jaw is smaller on the left and bigger on the right). My muscle and smile definition of my face has been very asymmetrical and I am noticing a lot of wrinkles as well. The right side of my head(back skull) is also smaller than my left side which means my skull is also very asymmetric. Slowly my life started to be effected. I did not grow in height anymore, I started feeling depressed, I started feeling unfocused, athletic performance suffered, and my self confidence went down.It just got worse as my back started to give me discomfort. I figured out that the missing premolar caused bite problems so I thought that I had to open up that space back and insert an implant. Dentists did not know why I wanted to do this and would not help me. I got a dna appliance to help do this but progress has been much too slow and expensive. I want to get my normal face back and body back and reach my physical potential.Yeah , I might have to buy the resin from this site to be shipped to me. But it will take 20 days if I do that. In the mean time I will order the bite so I probably can’t start for a while.
Most folks are using polymorph at this point. Its cheaper, easier to get, not toxic, and much easier to use.
Yeah, I just use the DNA on the upper because I had only 1 premolar taken out. Ideally I used the DNA appliance to just open up that 1 space and get an implant but progress is much too slow and I have very bad malloclusion. I want to just use the starecta method to correct my bite and thus correct my asymmetry as soon as possible. Also I read somewhere that the mechanical forces of just using the Strarecta corrects your bite which opens the gaps. In my case my upper right premolar.
And thanks Ken for your reply, I bought instamorph (which is polymorph basically) so I will use that on top of my bite that I ordered. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHe4hTOnSNk&feature=youtu.be
Hmm Joel I don’t think Starecta will correct your bite. They warn you that your teeth will move haphazardly due to the force of wearing the rectifier all the time. I think Plato also mentioned that his teeth have gone out of wack. What I think Starecta will do is correct the positioning of your maxilla. So if your maxilla is tilted to one side it will correct that. Anyway if Starecta does correct my bite I would be so happy.
Ken don’t you need a little of resin anyway to make the polymorph stick to the bite? There was another thread on this forum about it.
I am curious to see what Moreno, Valerio, or Ken has to say about the bite.I am taking a leap of faith on this method to see how it will effect me since I have the symptoms of what the starecta claims to fix(asymmetric face, back problems). I have tried many methods to finally straighten my body out and none have really worked.
When your bite is made from EVA you will need resin to stick the polymorph on the bite otherwise it is not necessary. I use polymorph for a couple of months and I love it.
The thing is I ordered the bite from amazon as suggested on this forum which is made from EVA. 🙁
